We are looking for an industry professional who has a proven track record of delivering operational excellence. Reporting directly to the General Manager the chosen candidate will be responsible for the running of all outlets within the establishment, the food market, kitchen and food preparation as well as housekeeping. S/he will work with the team to continuously achieve and surpass the established business targets whilst being an excellent motivator and leader, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Main responsibilities include:
- Ensuring excellent levels of internal and external customer service, handling any challenges or complaints both from customers and from tenants. Delivering an exemplary service without fail to every customer, every time.
- Staying on top of the business by establishing targets, KPI’s, schedules, policies and procedures in relation to the overall operation of Is-Suq tal-Belt. Continually drive forward improvements in products and services.
- Workforce planning - manage the recruitment and selection process, building a workforce fit for the business needs.
- Analyze costings reports and identify opportunities for cost savings and increased efficiency.
- Handle all dealings and negotiations with current and future tenants.
- Reporting and management of key operational metrics whilst setting and communicating realistic yet stretching goals in line with overall business objectives.
- Employee relations, create an environment that fosters engagement, collaboration and support.
- Comply with all HACCP and health and safety regulations.

- A tertiary qualification in business/hospitality management
- An analytical mind to be able to understand and influence the P&L and key F&B metrics.
- Personal efficiency with strong organizational skills of managing self and others across a number of departments.
- Proven leadership abilities to motivate, inspire, coach and support the team to improve and develop to their full potential.
- Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within the hospitality or catering industry is essential.
- Experience with startups considered an asset.

We are looking to recruit an energetic and self-motivated individual to assist the Sales and Marketing Manager in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of all Marketing activities at the Valletta Market.

The selected candidate will:
• Support the Sales & Marketing Manager with creating, planning and implementation of marketing initiatives.
• Prepare written proposals and contractual arrangements as directed by the Sales & Marketing Manager.
• Conduct the touring of the level 1 facility for potential events, answer questions and provide information regarding facility capabilities.
• Meets with Sales & Marketing Manager on a regular basis to discuss all matters pertaining to marketing.
• Assist in collating marketing materials and source suppliers as needed. This includes marketing material for the food market, the outlets, food stalls as well as the event spaces at Is-Suq tal-Belt.
• Assist in all digital marketing as needed. This includes creation of or replying to posts on online and social media channels as approved by the Sales & Marketing Manager.
• Assist in promoting all marketing initiatives at Is-Suq tal-Belt.
• Copywriting for web pages, email campaigns and other communication material that may be introduced (e.g. newsletter).
• Raise purchase orders for the Sales & Marketing department.
• Chase and interact with third parties who provide services to the Sales & Marketing department.
• Assist the Sales & Marketing Manager in setting up and execution of events at Is-Suq tal-Belt.

The ideal candidate should have:
• Minimum of (3) years’ experience in a marketing role, preferably in similar industries.
• A related degree/diploma will be considered and asset.
• Ability to work flexible and sometimes demanding schedules (including weekends, holidays and extended hours).
• Able to communicate clearly in the English language both orally and in writing using proper spelling, grammar and punctuation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with modern office procedures, methods and computer equipment.
• Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with company and business contacts. Proven working experience as a bartender
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
