The red telephone box is back in its rightful place, in front of Is-Suq Tal-Belt Valletta Food Market.
The structure which was present in front of Is-Suq Tal-Belt prior to Food Market set up, has finally returned after a restoration.
These iconic telephone boxes are going back to British Governance times in Malta. Ddesigned by Sir Gilbert Scott, they can still be seen in many places throughout the UK, and in current or former British colonies around the world.
Back in 2001, the Planning Authority had granted Grade 2 protection status to these structures.
